The arte Column Series has been well-received for delivering significant sound quality improvements through its easy installation and fine-tuning capabilities.
Typical residential ceilings are generally around 2.4 meters high in Japan. Sound generated by instruments and speakers radiates 360 degrees, reaching all wall surfaces and creating reflections. Consequently, treating wall surfaces near the ceiling is also incredibly important when considering overall sound quality.
For many years, Escart has conducted repeated experiments to control sound reflections in acoustic spaces. While a single column provided wall treatment up to a height of 1.2 meters—resulting in a clearer sound and a wider soundstage—our repeated listening tests with double the column height revealed a dramatic, beyond-imagination improvement in performance.
In particular, around the upper corners of a room where the ceiling meets two walls, a "sound stagnation" effect occurs, which is a major cause of sound muddying and congestion. "Column Stack" is now being launched to solve this problem.

The Column features a composite structure with a cylindrical front that acts as a diffusion surface and a rear that serves as an absorption surface. The front side diffuses reflected sound without losing energy, while the rear side efficiently absorbs the muddy reflections that gather in the corners.
